I know I said I would mainly be doing anime but I just had a thought:
You know at the end of SWTCW S3 in the Padawan Lost arc when Sugi, Seripas and the Wookie chief (and there may have been another bounty hunter) all come in Sugi's ship to rescue Chewbacca and the padawans? Well I just remembered that one person who was originally part of Sugi's group wasn't present at that little fight. Yes, I'm referring to Embo. I was think last night that wouldn't it be so cool if Embo was with them. How cool would it have been if he just jumped in and rekt the shit out of those Trandoshan hunters? The creators should've put him in the episode.
@cienie-isengardu replied to my call for prompts saying:
Well, the only thing that comes to my mind right now to prompt about is a talk between Anakin and Ahsoka, after padawan lost/wookie hunt arc, about padawans being left behind and/or killing the Trando (especially since she usually fight againts droids not living creatures?) dunno if this is anything you want to write but hope it’s any help :)
This is not what you asked for, but it is what popped into my head.
Anakin arrives a few minutes after they touch down with relief in his eyes and apologies on his lips. Master Plo comes with him, but O-Mer and Jinx’s masters don’t. Ahsoka hopes they’re dead. Kalifa’s too.
It’s not malice. She doesn’t blame them for what happened any more than she blames Anakin. It’s just that she remembers the look on Barriss’s face back on Geonosis when she realized it was Anakin who had fought to dig them up, not Luminara. Ahsoka can’t help thinking it would be easier to lose someone you care about than to learn that someone didn’t care that they lost you. If Jinx and O-Mer’s masters died when they were captured, that would explain why no one looked for them.
"I am glad to see you well, Little ‘Soka,” Master Plo says with obvious relief and more than a hint of pride.
Ahsoka accepts his words with a nod. It’s good to see him, but she can’t help thinking that he wouldn’t have even been here to greet her if she and Anakin hadn’t disobeyed orders to rescue him. The Council had been willing to just write him off, but that isn’t what happened here at all. They weren’t abandoned to their fate. They just rescued themselves before anyone else could do it for them. O-Mer and Jinx stand alone waiting for masters that do not come. They’re dead. They have to be. Right?
The Padawan Lost arc never fails to piss me off. At least (at least!) four padawans have gone missing and the Jedi are just like ‘eh, it’s not like we’re their guardians responsible for their welfare or anything.’ The only one in the entire galaxy who gives a shit that these kids have disappeared is Anakin Skywalker and he gets pulled off the case before it even really starts. Plo Koon gives him this big speech about how if Ahsoka is a worthy apprentice who Anakin has taught well, she’ll be okay and return to him. It’s a nice sentiment, but it’s complete bullshit. The only reason Ahsoka and the others make it off the hunters’ death planet was because they were lucky enough to run into Chewie. The poor kids who died weren’t unworthy, they were unlucky and, most importantly, abandoned by the institution they expected to protect them. It just took Ahsoka a few more seasons to figure that out.
