“Whoa!” Sun had flown backwards from the impact of someone’s attack he hadn’t seen coming and landed on something hard yet soft. And it spoke.

He tried to move to get up and twisted around to put his hands on the ground when he noticed Reese under him. “Oh. Heya! Didn’t see ya there. Don’t mind me, just avoiding all of that~.” He grins playfully and points to the brawl behind him with his tail. “How are you?” At this point, he was still blocking her from getting up, but at least his whole weight wasn’t crushing her anymore.

“Just be careful, okay!? We don’t need to lose anyone else on this mission!” Manos was busy reloading his weapon while watching the tree line, trying to spot anymore Grimm coming out.

Qrow took the board carefully and examined it. The balance was good, and he could see how she could use it as a weapon. It was a bit small for his lanky frame, but he’d had to do better with worse before.

Great, so he was back to square one. Without Koko, he was blind as a bat without sonar- the world was a black void with aura-outlined blobs of color that passed by every so often. 

Her solution to her own problem was rather unexpected. “You... huh.” Puck blinked at the glowing form before him, then turned his eyes skyward. “... You can see a lot from up there?”
