"It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

She’d waited years for this moment, though, she was inexplicably nervous. She waited, almost missing him; he was so different. Taller, thinner, more scarred, more tattoos. He still held that mischief in his grey eyes, though, and that was his distinguishing feature. 

"Too long, and not long enough at the same time." She hugged him tightly, refusing to let go, as if he would disappear.
