Daily from memory #2
Personal work
Drawings from memories. Often leaving for work and coming home it was dark outside. I wanted to capture it for myself for the future. Having started to draw, I tried to find in my archives photos of winter Yakutsk, but they turned out to be only a couple of pieces and all not the same. In winter I practically didn't photograph anything as my phone was quickly discharged in the cold. That's why I partially used Google maps and memories and photos from the Internet to recreate the atmosphere. Since I lived most of my life in the suburbs, I often had to take the bus. And waiting, in winter, at the bus stop turned into an unforgettable and surreal experience: dark silhouettes of people floating around. Buses that appeared out of the fog, like the Flying Dutchman, and it was still unknown whether you could get into it or not. And the frost, at -50, which felt stronger by the minute.
