"Sometimes these sort of events do remind me of Mandalore." Satine watched the people in front of them chatting, dancing and overall seeming joyous. "I do miss it." She sighed and turned her attention to her friend. "Not something to focus on tonight. Are you enjoying yourself, dear?"

Satine had been looking for Obi Wan, Padme and Ahsoka since she returned back ti DC from that awful Island. Wanting to make sure they were okay. She hadn’t heard from any of them except Obi Wan and even then the cell service cut out and she had no idea what happened to any of them. That’s when walking down the street she saw the other woman and relief overcame her. 

“Padme! Thank goodness you’re alright. You are alright aren’t you?” Her voice hopeful that Padme had gotten through this without a scratch.

Obi Wan couldn't believe his eyes. "My dear Padme." Relief bringing tears to his eyes. "I hope to all the gods that you are real." After watching her die, holding the twins. His heart shattered. His faith and hope gone. He tried to be strong, to carry on but after losing everyone he felt lost.

"Padme, good to see you." It had been a while since he saw her. He had gotten very lost in his relationship with Lexi. Unsure how to navigate it all and not wanting to mess anything up with Lexi. But worried he would. He wasn't the most in touch or emotional guy. "Thanks for meeting me. I know it's been a while. How have you been?"

"I'm holding on for dear life." Satine looked over at her friend. She was trying really hard to keep a level head but there was so much happening. "Feelings I can't fight but he doesn't have the same feelings. I know I need to let it go. It's been so long and it can never be but I just cannot let go."

"Do we think it's Palpatine messing with us? I know it doesn't seem like the way he does things but... he is capable of a lot of evil." She hadn't really experienced her but it was what Obi Wan had said.
