GOOD EVENING, LIKERS!!! Well, another day, another #PadresvsDodgers event. And a #fullmoon, too?
I felt today was a mixed bag. There's nothing like having an appointment that you are looking forward to...and it all turned out to be a no show. Moreso when you're all dressed up and nowhere to go. Smh.
But I got to spend some time at #barnesandnoble. It had been a minute since I had been able to go to one. And to get lost among the #books. I felt inspired! I loved the #dystopian book display. And since the last time I was at one, this one had a hardcore #horror section. A sizeable horror section. Color me shocked.
But as I took all of the books in and wandered around, I thought about what all these authors had in common.
Consistency.
Something life's arrows have been poking at me to get as of late. So how were things going? Well...
Otherwise known as EDITING, TYPING, AND WRITING.
EDITING. Research is still taking its time.
And I was fed up with that. All I had to do was sit and just #read. I did that as simple as I breathed as of late due to reading time being available for the taking.
But could I balance out that time to include research time?
TYPING. Project fell through. So...nothing to see here. For now.
WRITING. Since the last time I was here...well...I hit a #block. smh.
I had been hoping to finish out a chapter in my horror #WiP. And then I was going to start on a new project for a bit. What I did not expect was to be basically stuck on the same scene.
But...I guess the act of being creative started something. My forthmentioned projects and just thinking about them. It appeared to be motivating me to keep going. But the scene in question was #molasses.
But then I remembered that when it came to my characters, it was best to go deeper. And the scene...felt too surface to me. I was just writing. But not going as #deep as I know I could go into my characters.
But once I did...oooo...that scene started to move again. And the tension was back. And best of all, I realized how I wanted to end that chapter. Silly me!!! It was right in front of me the whoooole time. lol.
So I was going to #finally finish it. And try out that other project that I wanted to work on.
That was how the week was looking.
On that note...books?
