Does Magily know the word deescalation? Because it sure is time to just... look at the board and say nothing more.
{[INVESTIGATE]: [Request Board]}
You decide that annoying the stranger again might result in a fight. So you ignore them and take a look at the large [Request Board]
There are a lot of torn scraps of paper stuck to the board with small metal nails. They are all battered by the weather and written in scrawled handwriting. Some notes look new and some look like they are about to dissolve into dust.
You have no idea what any of them say.
That seems like an interesting way to communicate. Based on all the different writing styles, you can only assume everyone in the town has used this board at some point.
Cal seems upset for a moment, but shakes off their concern. It seems like they are hiding how worried they are.
You look at the three [Red Wanted Posters] and Cal reads the details for you.
The images of the targets are crudely drawn and it is hard to tell who exactly they are.
First Bounty: Lomax the Wandering Knight: 250 coins
Wanted for:
Avoiding Required Tolls
Smuggling Goods (minor)
Slander
Second Bounty: Cailieen The Necromancer: 512,300 coins
Wanted for:
Necromancy
Black Magic
Grave robbing
Destruction of Property
Trespassing
Mind Control
Magic Assault
Slander
Third Bounty: ???: 15,000,250 coins
The third poster is so old and torn that much of the information is illegible.
Wanted for:
Murder (18 counts)
Treason
Grand Theft
Black Magic
???
???
Unlawful Assembly
Slander
You notice the [Red Stranger] giving you an angry side eye as you look over the posters. They seem to be saying “don’t even think about it.”
You don’t think you could bring yourself to hurt someone else for money, but then again you could use those coins to pay off the Mayor™.
You can’t help but wonder if there is a wanted poster of you ready to be posted here. While a lot of these crimes seem serious, you have a strange feeling they might be lies. The Mayor™ lied about your crimes to squeeze extra money out of you.
You can already see the system underneath. The Mayor™ puts a price on someones head, and they can either pay or work off their debt. And it appears one way the Mayor’s™ victims can pay off their debts, is to hunt down each other.
It makes you feel a little sick.

What Should We Do Now?
Hi Mike, in test #7, q.14, during my revision I found the correct answer by solving for x. However, the question does state "For all values of x greater than 3." I was a bit thrown off by that the first time I took the test. Can you please explain the question and how it refers to the answer?
They specify that x must be greater than 3 in this question because if x was less than 3, then you’d have a square root equaling a negative number, which would involve imaginary numbers, which the SAT doesn’t do. So your approach was probably fine. Here’s how I do it:
