Anything above us here?
{[LOOK]:[UP]
Once again you take a moment to look skyward.
The [Gravity Slate] remains fixed in the sky.
This time you think you can see some [Purple Crystals] jutting out of the bottom. Those crystals must be the source of the [Gravity Magic] keeping the slate suspended in the sky.
You have never seen crystals this size, since the ones you found in the mine were barely bigger than your fist. A crystal that size must be worth a fortune.
Thats when you notice the subtle movement next to the crystal...
You can just make out [Gunner Turrets] scanning the air near the crystals... It seems that the port is well defended against the bandits who would come after the crystals.
The barrel of the gun sweeps over the ground, like an eye of judgement choosing who and what to blast out of existence. It sweeps over your party without stopping. It seems like it doesn’t consider you a threat, at least for now.

What Should We Do Now?
Bb 2 edition, p.843 #11.
Last few lines of the passage, with my annotations:
"…Native Americans began altering their subsistence and residential patterns to obtain more furs. As a result, they (the Native Americans) grew dependent on their European trading partners while frequently entering into competition with one another (which they hadn’t done in the past). In the end, the principles of reciprocity and equality (that were typically honored by Native Americans among each other) were substantially undermined by the ethics and imperatives of the traders.”
See how the relationships among Native Americans were distorted?
