Out now on Physical and Ebook. When a lonely young girl finds herself with magical powers, she'll find herself jumping headfirst into a world of magic and monsters in order to protect both her family and the town they live in.
A simple enough plan, if it wasn't for the fact that the other girl she needs to work with hates her guts. For Melodia, fighting monsters is going to be easy. But making some friends along the way? That just may be a tall order.
Go check out Guardians of the Seal: March of an Unlikely Hero at Barnes and Noble's.
Wanted to try throwing together a quick Essek Thelyss doing gravity fissure. I think it came out alright. I don’t usually do poses this active. The lineart actually did come together pretty quickly, but then coloring happened. I’ve never done magic effects like this before and it took me forever to put something together that I liked. Black magic is tricky but I have no frame of reference. I was also working with vanishing points which was actually more fun than I thought it’d be.
Bravery was fun and all, but we gotta move on.

Anything above us here?
{[LOOK]:[UP]
Once again you take a moment to look skyward.
The [Gravity Slate] remains fixed in the sky.
This time you think you can see some [Purple Crystals] jutting out of the bottom. Those crystals must be the source of the [Gravity Magic] keeping the slate suspended in the sky.
You have never seen crystals this size, since the ones you found in the mine were barely bigger than your fist. A crystal that size must be worth a fortune.
Thats when you notice the subtle movement next to the crystal...
You can just make out [Gunner Turrets] scanning the air near the crystals... It seems that the port is well defended against the bandits who would come after the crystals.
The barrel of the gun sweeps over the ground, like an eye of judgement choosing who and what to blast out of existence. It sweeps over your party without stopping. It seems like it doesn’t consider you a threat, at least for now.

Look ahead and/or up. How big even is that gravity slate?
{[LOOK]:[UP]
You take a moment to crane your neck up as far as it will go, trying your best to get a glimpse of the [Gravity Slate] overhead.
The clouds form a thick blue wall above, although you think you can see a faint [Blinking Blue Light] on the edge of the floating island.
It looks like an emergency guide light like the ones you saw lining the [Yexxies Harbor Docks]
If you squint you can almost make out a series of [Pipes] and [Wires] jutting out of the stone face. It doesn’t look like much but the slate is definitely there.
It looms overhead, far out of reach.
