Sorry to ask this but how do you feel about black people and people of color? I’ve had to unfollow a few blogs bc they turned out to be racist

I'll do a blanket answer, because I answered a very similar question about my feelings regarding trans people, so I think a blanket statement will just be good to apply to every "How do you feel about _______ people" question:

I believe that the only thing that determines if a person is good or bad is their character and how they treat others. I don't care about sexual orientation, skin color, ability, religion, immigration status, or anything else.

If someone is kind, I like them. Even if their idea of "kind" and mine differ, as long as I can tell they're trying their best in this bizarre world and not excluding or being cruel to anyone.

I believe the laws and policies in the US, intentionally or otherwise, dehumanize and disenfranchise just about anyone not straight and white, and when people say "All lives matter", it'd be great if that were the case. It'd be great if we lived in a world where there was genuine equality and we could say that with full confidence. But we don't- certain groups and peoples are treated as less and face difficulties and prejudices that I, a white woman with blue eyes, simply do not. The law is not applied equally. People are not perceived equally by each other. We have to do what we can to try to fix that.

Everyone is valid, everyone's experiences and stories are valid. But life is complicated, and right now it's unbelievably loud. I know. We can't always stop and listen and learn what people's stories and experiences are, so the best I think anyone can do is just give each other grace.

My belief and creed is live and let live, love and let love. Everyone is out there fighting their own battles, at the very least, don't make anyone's battle more difficult. I respect and like people who follow that.

I care more about the soul than the wrapper it comes in, and I wish we could get to a place as a species where that was all that mattered.
