How to impress others with your Bio
Writing a bio is not as easy as it may seem. When you’re looking at nice life stories, which are simple but concise at the same time, you think it’s high time to astonish the others with your own. And all of a sudden - nothing comes to mind or conversely you add too many details. And what is more important - your opinion on how great bio shall look varies with what the others want to know about you.
Whether it's your page on Facebook or a personal website, people will look closely at your bio to know better who you are. That's why at Page.is you can leave a short note about yourself or prepare a detailed overview of your life, work experience, and social activity. We believe it should be captivating and motivate people to get to know you.
So how to write a bio that will be interesting not only for you but captivating for people you’d like to impress? We analyzed a few dozens of our users’ profiles to share with you some basic tips.
First of all, аsk yourself two questions - why am I writing and who will read it? When you think of what people would like to know about you, not only how to describe your life story in a few sentences — your task becomes easier.

But not a text that looks like an extract from Wikipedia where you can find some odd details about his childhood:

His wife and three children, who previously lived in London, are moving to Los Angeles to live with him. Besides acting and comedy, he has written the best-selling thriller The Gun Seller. A second novel, titled The Paper Soldier, is forthcoming.
Think of the language - it’s very important to be friendly and make a good impression. Avoid using complicated phrases - no one wants to read a bio that looks like an academic text. Remember that Google search engine always index unique texts and be authentic. Turn your biography into a story that will engage with your readers. To make the statement even more powerful, use a stronger verb.
Don’t forget to check your text after writing - thus, you can avoid mistakes or misspellings.
Example: instead of saying, “Five years I was responsible for all the PR campaigns in Siemens. I have also successfully managed their CSR projects, like the support of orphanages and environmental protection,” say, “Successfully managed all PR campaigns and CSR projects for Siemens for the last five years”.
People are not ready to spend more than 1,5 min on reading any piece of text unless it’s a breaking news. So try to create a brief bio. The shorter it is - the more likely it will be read.
The length can vary depending on where it is published, but never write a long read.

Don’t forget to update your info. It shall reflect you in the best way possible and it should be kept up to date as well. You can also add some facts about your work and lifestyle.
