Pairing: Paige Bueckers x influencer fem!reader.
Summary: You and Paige are big figures in the internet, Paige just came out to the world as a lesbian and you've always been open about your sexuality. So your managers got a plan.
Fake dating + she plays hard to get
part 1. part 2.
Part 3. “First night together.”
notes: i felt like doing a little angst 🤓
When you entered Paige’s apartment— Your apartment, everything felt heavy.
The curtains were intentionally open, the sun setting on the window. The AC in 19°.
But the air felt thick, like it was carrying all your life problems at once. And maybe not only yours, but Paige’s too.
“It’s pretty nice in here. Are you renting?” You ask.
“Yeah, i think is better for now.” She answered.
“It’s not like you’re gonna get waived by the Wings anyway.” You chuckled.
“Yeah i know, but it’s better to have other options.” She smiled.
“How much is it? I’ll help you, i mean, we both live here.”
“Nah, it’s okay.” She smiled at you. “I’ll pay rent, and if you want, you can help with groceries.”
“Of course Paige.” You smiled back.
In the bedroom, there were two beds.
Two beds. They separated Paige from you completely at night.
You were never the type of person that needed something— or someone to fall asleep. But you were not home anymore. And the weight of everything unspoken was too much for you.
“Two beds huh?” You ask.
“Yeah, i didn’t think you want to sleep with me.” She answers.
“Why not, Paige?”
“Well, we’re not actually dating so– I don’t know, i thought.”
Oh.
You looked away. “Yeah, you’re right. We’re not.”
Your heart ached. The walls felt narrower. Your breath slowed.
Everything hurt as hell. You wanted to believe you could, but you couldn’t.
“You have your first game tomorrow right?” You ask.
“Yeah, you going?”
“I could.” You sighed. “I’ll go.”
“If you don’t want to, then don’t go.” She looked at you. “You don’t sound so convinced.”
“It’s okay Paige. I’ll go.”
Her expression was neutral, and she left the room.
You got ready to bed, even if you didn’t want to.
You missed everything, and everyone.
When you lived in California, your parents were just across the street. Your best friends lived two blocks away. You were everything but alone.
Now, you only have Paige.
And you know, she doesn’t even want to.
You both had dinner on your own. Didn’t talk much.
Now you were getting in bed. With your comfy blanket over you.
A small yellow light coming from Paige’s reading lamp was the only thing separating you from complete darkness.
“Y/N.” She whispered softly, wishing you didn’t hear.
“Yeah?” You answered the same way.
“I don’t like this.”
“Me neither.”
You heard her sigh, and then she looked at you.
“Come here.” She gestured for you to come. “Lay with me.”
You turned around to look at her. “Why would i? You literally said: “We’re not together.” Your jay tightened. “I think you can sleep on your own.”
Her expression changed. And the air felt even thicker.
“Why would you say that?” She said softly.
“Cause it’s the truth, Paige.”
She looked tired, sleepy.
“Please come.” She begged you again.
For some reason, the way her words sounded, made you realize that’s what you wanted.
Her, a home, and one bed.
You loved her. It wasn’t like, it was love.
You stood up from your bed and walked to hers. You laid down her side.
You weren’t touching, not yet.
She sighed, and put a hand softly over your shoulder.
“Look at me.”
You didn’t. “No.”
She pouted, with a sad expression in her face.
“Please don’t hate me.” She said.
“I don’t hate you.”
“But why do you pretend you do?— I hate that.”
“Cause you pretend too.”
“Because that’s what we’re doing, right?” She asked.
You turned around to look at her. Your face puffed and your eyes red. “Sure Paige, keep telling yourself that.”
Her eyes widened a little. “Y/N….”
You didn’t answer. You didn’t want to.
“I stopped pretending a while ago.” She confessed.
Silence. Heavy, thick, disgusting.
“Don’t lie.” You answer.
“I’m not lying. I care about you.” She sighed.
“But not as i want you to care.” You confessed too.
She took of her glasses and laid with you. She hugged you softly.
“You know…— I’ve been trying so hard to keep my heart out of this, but it’s impossible. You’re way too imposible.”
You sighed. “That’s just me.”
She smiled. “You’re amazing. You laugh at all my jokes, you always support me, you let me choose which movie to watch, you buy my favorite candy every time you go to the store, you know a lot about me— you pay attention to what i do.” She said, her expression serious.
You smiled back at her, softly. “Yeah, you’re right. I do.”
Both of you looked away, smiling.
“I stopped pretending the day i noticed you did too.” She said.
You felt like your heart stopped and you froze. “What?”
“Yes.” She smiled. “I know you love me.”
You didn’t answer, it was embarrassing.
“And i do too.”
Silence again.
“Paige…”
“Yeah?”
“This shouldn’t had happened.” You confessed.
“Why is it so wrong that we actually like each other?”
“Cause we’re on thin ice. That’s not what this is about.” You answer.
“I know. But now that i have you, even if it’s an obligation, I’m never letting you go.” She ended.
And you didn’t need to hear anything else. You believed her.
“I love you.” You said.
“I love you too.” She answered.
She snuggled you to her chest, wrapping her arms around your whole body, making you feel safe.
You hugged her back, your face fitting perfectly in the crook of her neck. She smelled like love.
“Goodnight, Paige.”
“Goodnight, baby.”

I think Knuckles should be the lore expert of Team Sonic. Tails is smart, yeah, but he's smart with machines. I think Knuckles should show off his archeologist/"treasure hunter" skills more when dealing with weird historical stuff. (Like he did in Riders Zero Gravity!)
Ancient Gaian temples? Yeah, he knows how to find them. If Sonic thought to call back during the Dark Gaia crisis, that would've been fixed in no time.
Lost Hex? He's never been there himself, but he found old records of ancient Zeti from a time when they visited the echidnas. Could've avoided all that drama if he was brought along!
I think this is just a fun idea. Gives him another niche in the group besides the tough guy. We see it in Frontiers and Zero Gravity, so I'd love to see it more.
Thinking about how Ilya went out to get laid and came back and jerked himself off in the shower. The boy’s down bad
i feel like the people of tumblr would enjoy this
i want to write a zombie au of blue …….
I love her from all angles 🎀💌
Here’s a little snippet of Part 6 because I have a bunch of projects i’ve been putting off so i need to get those done 💀 if you see me post part 6 yell at me.

But now, he found himself arguing with a brick wall it seemed. “Y/n, I understand you have pure intentions but you can not sleep in my room.” He tried to explain softly, gently. His hands on your shoulders. Willing every part of him to behave because there was nothing he’d love more than to have you in his bed. Even just holding you for the night would make his heart soar. To be the last thing you saw, and the first thing.
“No!” You huff, arms crossed as you looked up at him. Rosey cheeks, your hair mused from dancing, your pout undeniably adorable. “I wanna sleep in here. Because you are nice, and you are warm! Mor snores!” You throw your hands up, loosing your balance as you flop onto the bed. “See the bed wants me here.”
Azriel laughs softly. Shaking his head, he knew he loved you. He really did. And normally he’d be flattered his mate was so sweet. But now, now it was an issue. Because he had to defy all of his primal tendencies to oblige your every wish. He scoops you up gently. Your head falling to his chest, lightly your fingers caress the tattoos of his that peak out. Azriel suppresses a shiver. “Come on princess. Let’s get you to bed.” He whispers, crossing the hallway. Earning snickers from the rest of his family. All of which he glared at, only stopping when he reached your room.
