There's no official strike in Genshin. Genshin is non-union. The strike is about companies in the union, which means Genshin is not struck and Kinich new Va, Jacob is not a scrab. If you thought about Formosa, Hoyo broke the contract with them long ago to work with SIDE instead.
I know something is fishy about AI excuse. Hoyo has been showing to work with companies that have AI protection ex: Furina VA studio. Chinese law forbid the use of AI without permission. Beside if Hoyo actually want to join SAG, they have to take it to Chinese government and you know they will never bow down to US considering the relationship between two countries.
Nothing wrong with wanting for AI protection. But if Hoyo have a deal with studios with anti AI policy but yet refuse to sign with only SAG, then there's something else behind the scene.
