♘—;. edward & his family had, probably, been the talk of the town for those whom had knowledge of vampires. he’d done his research on mystic falls, had engulfed himself in the rich history of founding families & their descendants still walking the grounds of the beloved town today. edward & his family did not intent on conflicting ANY harm to the citizens of mystic falls, they merely wished to reside their peacefully & start anew.
though, what he’d discovered about the supernaturals, were some things that TRULY intrigued him; the doppelgangers, the original hybrid being ‘reborn‘ on the grassy fields near the quarry. he’d even read of the notorious katherine pierce & the compassionate elena gilbert. though, he didn’t expect for him to run into one of those TODAY. —he was making his way across the parking lot, returning to his car after having gone through his first day at the mystic falls high school, home of the timberwolves. his siblings were walking ahead of him, holding hands with their partner; he, too, wished to once find a mate of his own, someone he could spend eternity with. regardless, his golden eyes lifted themselves from the tarmac he stepped on to look up at the sun through his shades, allowing for the warmth to radiate across his ice cold skin; & that’s when he saw her. the doppelganger.
he was aware that it wasn’t exactly polite to stare though, considering he was wearing sunglasses, it shouldn’t be too obvious, right? —he watched her from a distance, a small smile on his features as he reached his car & opened the boot, allowing his books to slide onto the surface. she was just as described in the tales & drawings; beautiful. & he could see the striking resemblance to katherine pierce though, he wasn’t going to dwell too long on that matter. —he’d been staring a little bit too long, probably, because he could overhear a blondine standing by elena alerting her of the fact that ‘the new guy was staring‘.
