Summer 2015

I was hired to paint the set for Susannah over the summer. The opera will run next semester.

However, none of the set designers seem to keen on him painting their sets.

Yeah I get it, he's all talk and he does show but not that well

But I literally have to sit there and remind them "Hey, I'm a paint charge too you know."

And they still kind of brush me off like they would rather just do it themselves or have another girl do it who has interned in the paint shop for the past 3 years.

Sorry I didn't know that was even a possibility/have the time to do that (19 credits a semester since sophomore year come on)

But you don't even seem to care about the fact that I am working in the paint shop, you have been in paint practicum with me, and you've seen my work.  I'm sorry I don't post all the pictures of the sets I helped paint over the years in high school - oh wait I don't have any cause I was stupid and didn't take enough pictures during my time there.

But like

It just pisses me off that they won't even give me a chance even though they make it sound like it is the other guy they don't want

Well fuck you if you don't think I can paint a set then fucking tell me

I'm paint charge for a reason and it's not just to get my name in the program.

I've accepted a job at Virginia Shakespeare Festival as their paint charge this summer.
