Hi guys if you’ve been wondering why I haven’t really been doing too much in term of art right now it’s because I’ve been dealing with some health issues that have been causing me a lot of physical pain (not going to go into detail about what it is here at least) <\3

I had to go to the ER today actually, JEEPERS!! I’m alright though. I’ll be getting surgery next month or hopefully sooner. So things will continue to be pretty slow for a while. Soz

I feel icky lately. The idea of cutting ties with people hurts. Sometimes it's for the best but the guilt remains, you know? At least in some cases.

Other times, I'm kinda glad I dodged those bullets asjlkdgsd

I just hate that I've been having trouble vibing with people lately. Idk if it's them or if it's me. Thanks, anxiety 👍

without sounding full of myself or having any delusion of grandeur, i would like to apologize for going completely awol since ~september. life got real hard for a minute, i self sabotaged like i have a tendency to do. as the weeks turned into months, the shame and fear i felt only grew and grew. naturally, i retracted further into my shell. there’s no excuse, point blank: i’m sorry.

i’m not good at making friends. my self esteem is literally at zero most days. these are things i’m trying to improve on in 2022. i miss writing, i miss the community of smart and beyond talented creators that i befriended last year. i miss your companionship, your encouragement, and the works you all have created.

What is your favorite thing about toshiro? I love the fact that he is adorably grumpy and that he could kill me if he wanted too

Hmmm....probably how open his character backstory is, and howwith  - even in canon - there’s the sense that he’s a character with potential, not power. Like - he enough of a stock character to incite tons of fic and art fleshing out his past, future, and et cetera, but he has enough personality to play a noticeable side role in the canon story and so we get to see much more of him than some other folks I find interesting.

There’s also the fact that I related very heavily to him as a kid, and still do relate to him in some big ways - namely, he’s shown as much more of a solitary, lonely character, one who doesn’t really know what to do with his feelings. And he doesn’t really seem to know how to make friends either, so - a lonely young Sol was very much feeling the same things Hitsugaya seemed to.

Nowadays those feelings aren’t quite as thick - I’m much more open with how I’m feeling and whenever I have issues I tend to bring them up bluntly instead of burying my emotions and ignoring them - but I still love his character to bits just for the flexibility in writing he gives.

Plus - he’s a smart-aleck. And that headcanon is gonna have to be pried from my cold, dead hands before I let it go XD

What’s your i7 story?

I’m feeling oddly social, so let’s share stories. 

For me I was actually on a musical otome high. I rewatched Magic-kyun Renaissance with my friend. We needed more, so we started watching UtaPri (YES I KNOW). Naturally, I started looking at tags/images and came across Arina Tanemura’s fanart of UtaPri. I’ve always loved Tanemura’s stuff, so I looked into her UtaPri fanart a little more and found i7 art instead. I got SO excited knowing that one of my fave artists was the character designer and was so enthusiastic about the series. Also, since it combined her art with otome idol boys (at the time I thought it was otome), I just HAD to look into it. I listened to the music, found idolish-seven’s tumblr and started reading the story. I was immediately hooked and not at all bothered by the fact that it was NOT in fact otome. I loved the story and characters and have been here ever since.

I can’t remember exactly when I got into it. It was definitely before the 2nd anniversary. Not sure if it was right after the 1st anniversary or the following February. 

So, that’s my story.
