Amazing the things you find when cleaning out a house.
More art that was done by my Aunt Mary. These plates haven’t been unwrapped since 1977. The chipped, blackened spots on the edges are from the fire. The plates are each about a foot across. I tried to clean them, but I think I need to put a little more effort into cleaning up the tiger. The matador was broken into two pieces. Krazy glue is a godsend. I don’t remember these from my childhood.
My Aunt had lived in California. I remember visiting her once when I was a young child. Besides that visit, I don’t remember much about her. But she had a weaving room that I’ll never forget. I remember the giant loom and how light the room was. I do have a piece she’d woven for my Dad. When I locate that, I’ll photograph it and share.
