Make these Painted Cake Cupcakes to make your wedding dessert table stand out in a beautiful way. Along with being tasty, these cupcakes can also be used as works of art that go with your wedding theme.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup whole milk. Assorted food coloring gels. Edible gold or silver dust. Edible paintbrushes. Cupcake liners.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry mixture. Mix until just combined. Divide the batter equally among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack. Prepare different colors of edible paint using the food coloring gels and dilute them slightly with water to create a paintable consistency. Using the edible paintbrushes, paint unique and dazzling designs on the cooled cupcakes. You can get creative with abstract patterns, florals, or any wedding-themed designs you prefer. Once the painted designs have dried, lightly dust the cupcakes with edible gold or silver dust for an elegant touch. Your Painted Cake Cupcakes are now ready to impress at your wedding. Place them on a decorative tray or stand for a stunning presentation.
