Does anyone know what happened to lorewhcre/paintedwhcre? :(
It’s just after midnight, and the sun is nowhere to be seen in the sky. The only thing keeping the area from being in nothing but blackness are the street lights and the stars and moon scattered in the sky.
Considering the air is warm ( despite the light breeze ), Avery decides to sit outside, and soak in the night. Usually on nights like this, she’s stuck down further, sitting on the room of her house ( not so safe ), or the roof of her moms car -- but, considering she’s spending the summer at her grandmothers house, she’s given the privilege of having a balcony.
She makes sure the door is unlocked before she closes it behind her ( she even carries the key with her, just in case ), and smiles contently, inhaling the nighttime air. She sits down on one of the lounge chairs out there ( one she usually uses for tanning during the day ), and leans back, just looking at the stars. Avery finds herself making shapes out of them, and nearly falls asleep when she hears movement beneath her. It sounds as if someone is climbing up the side of the house beside her. She ignores it, though. She learned from her grandmother that two boys lived there. It seems obvious to her it’s probably one of them sneaking back home.
She only begins to worry when she hears the climbing suddenly switch to her side of the house.
It’s been, what Avery guesses, is about twenty-four hours. Maybe more -- maybe less. She isn’t too sure, she didn’t exactly glance at a clock before her head hit the pillow. But now, as the sun beams on her skin, she feels the need to get up. To thank the two ( brothers? she’s sure they told her, she just doesn’t remember ) that saved her. She pulls on a flannel that was left out for her ( clearly one that belongs to one of the boys ), and a pair of ( probably an ex girlfriends ) shorts. Avery checks over her appearance and grimaces, her malnourished face and body not very appealing to her, before she walks down the stairs ( slowly. it’s amazing how weak she is ), and spots the shorter of the two at a table in the kitchen.
Avery hesitates at first, but she ultimately decides, if he were to hurt her, he would have by now -- so there must be no harm in walking over to him. She pauses, before she slowly sits down on a chair across from him. “I want to thank you for taking me here. For saving me.”
