This is 10 years old! I thought I had lost it, found it in the depths of my Thomas Kretschmann folders. I like how loose it is. I actually have no idea how to do this again. I like the fact it looks like an old 1950′s illustration.

The ongoing Painter saga
Ok so Painter 11 runs so poorly on my computer it is almost effectively unusable. You guys would not believe how I paint my stuff, you would not believe how long it takes because I’m constantly restarting from crashes, restarting cause it’s too slow, and waiting for it to complete tasks. Sometime I should figure out how to record time-lapse progress videos because seriously I think you guys would be shocked and amused.
Painter 2015 is expensive but it’s getting to the point where it’s necessary software, and I am considering buying it soon.
I downloaded a trial version a couple days ago. Generally, it works pretty nice. It’s still an incredible memory hog but nowhere near as bad as Painter 11. It doesn’t appear to choke on my large files quite so bad. It’s not so different that there’s going to be a huge learning curve to figuring out the new features. And it still does all the stuff that makes me consistently choose Painter over Photoshop for most colour rendering.
BUT.
My favourite brush in Painter 11 was the artist’s oils clumpy brush. I can’t seem to find its equivalent in Painter 2015! There’s many other oil brushes, and there’s a clumpy oil brush, but it’s not the same!!! The brush shape is rounded instead of the square shape that I liked, and it blends differently, the bristles are different, and I mean, it’s SIMILAR, but it’s Not The Same!
And this was my FAVOURITE BRUSH that I used for everything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Like, are there settings for the clumpy brush I can tinker with that make it more similar to the old brush? Is there a better brush in the menus that I might have missed?
Any help would be appreciated!

Art Block Annihilated and 200th post
After months of a hiatus on my art and distractions from school I finally decided to take some time to just jump into a painting. I even went a little further by making it with no outlines to see if i still retained what i learned from Painter 11. Gotta say I'm damn proud of it. The time spent on it was about three days and nearly all colors were done with the airbrush, blend and dodge tool. Also happy 200th post.
