Had a lot of fun coming up with the copy and painting this up. This picture is only 2/3 of the overall sign and it was an awful lot of text so I had to keep the fonts simple for ease of reading. The background has been colour washed to give it some depth and character, painted black first then three coats of green acrylic paint with glaze painted over the top and broken with a natural sponge then softened with a badger hair brush, a very similar process to creating marbled effects. Dark Wash | Concrete Statuary

Quick and easy dark wash on a concrete gargoyle statuette. Using acrylic paints to create a wash over the concrete statuary piece and wiping with cloth and/or sponge to reveal highlights.

In this short 5 Minute Autodesk Maya beginners tutorial you will learn how to grow plants, trees, fire etc. using Maya's built in Paint FX.

We will make a geometry (in our case Rock geometry) paintable and draw a PaintFX Rubber Plant on it which we will animate over a range of 60 frames. You will also see how you can add some more life to the plant adding turbulence / tree wind to it.
