March Bitties

Chromis (Deltasplash Swatch) Named for their iridescent light blue and apple-green fins, Chromis types naturally take great pride in their appearances without being vain. As Paintmates they of course strive for perfection in everything they do, but are also less restrained and more willing to have fun with things as they don't have as many responsibilities placed upon their shoulders as others otherwise might. They are often willing to take up the role of translator for the Deltasplash and Undersplash bitties who might not be able to speak English, if not outright acting as a teacher. While subservient to Queen-type bitties, when left to their own devices they can command attention and respect in their own right with their usually no-nonsense attitudes. They work quickly and efficiently but they will also take opportunities to relax without hesitation or questioning whether they deserve it; they work hard so that they can play hard.

Grayling (Deltasplash Sweet) Distinguishable from other Sweetlings courtesy of their distinctive red-tipped dorsal fins and ability to stay in water for long periods of time without damage, Graylings prefer immersing themselves in colder water and enjoy being able to share a tank with others. They don't eat very much and tend to prefer having places they can hide. They're happy to consume shrimp and insects, as well as occasional plant matter. Those with duller dorsal fins tend to be more self-conscious and hide away more often, though having Leafie and Bass bitties as companions tend to mitigate this issue as these types will help encourage shrinking Graylings. Dull-finned Graylings can survive without this companionship, of course, but they won't be as self-assured as Graylings with red-tipped fins. All Graylings prefer having some form of gravel in their dwelling, though color preferences will vary.

Leafie (Deltasplash K_K) These Baby Cakes types are quite placid by nature, content to drift along through life and provide emotional support to their closest friends. They like decorating themselves with seaweed of varying colors, giving them a similar appearance to the leafy sea dragon that they are named after. Their colors can range from yellow to green, often with stripes, though certain members of this bitty type are capable of changing colors entirely depending on diet, location, and stress level. While normally it's difficult to tell when a Leafie is stressed, Grayling and Bass type bitties are exceptional at picking up on a Leafie's distress and are equally capable of soothing and calming them. Leafies tend to prefer a diet of plant matter and small crustaceans, with brine shrimp being a common favorite snack. They come alive when they hear music, becoming more energetic and often drawing their friends into dancing with them.

Bass (Deltasplash Cap'n) Bass bitties are usually quite varied in terms of coloration, though the most common ones tend to have silvery-white fins with darker green stripes running along their bodies. Like most Captiny-type bitties they can be rather flirtatious, but due to their somewhat reckless nature it's not uncommon to find free-roaming Bass bitties tangled in nets or even getting snagged on fishing line while hunting. They tend to prefer warmer waters but are capable of getting along fine in cooler waters if they have a Grayling friend or partner. They primarily consume smaller fish, but will also eat snails and frogs if available (usually in the form of escargot and frog legs). They're often eager to learn some form of spoken language and many Bass bitties have a rudimentary grasp of French, though it's not unusual for them to pronounce words incorrectly. It's advised that one has a language tutor on hand to help them improve their linguistic abilities.

May Bitties

Catbird (Angelrune Kittybitty) These Kittybitties are named for their soft, feathery gray fur and gray wings. They typically have raspy-sounding voices, but they are able to mimic the songs of not only other birds but frogs and even mechanical sounds. They are able to make two different sounds at the same time, though it's hard to say whether this is because of the strong magic that Catbirds wield or a biological advantage. They are also quite drawn to places with dense vegetation, especially with thorny plants or brambles, and their diet consists primarily of fruit and berries though they will also eat bugs such as mealworms, clothes moths, and ants. They are excellent pest control but are often reclusive, preferring to isolate themselves and don't often come out of wherever they've decided to make their nests. They are exceptionally patient and not much seems to bother them, though this could be attributed to their nihilistic nature.

Crow (Angelrune Paintmate) Easily one of the largest among the Angelrune (and even Angeltale) bitty types, Crows are distinguished by their beautiful, iridescent black feathers. They are highly intelligent and polite, as well as capable teachers. However, they are prone to taking on too much work and being resistant to breaks. Unlike most Paintmates, while they are exceptionally clean in most scenarios they are less so when eating. They are never opposed to trying new foods, though they tend to prefer an omnivorous diet consisting of various nuts and grains as well as mice and frogs. Ironically, they are nervous around live mice and will often give them a wide berth which is why they will typically only consume deceased mice. They do prefer higher-end and expensive food, but are content to settle with what they are capable of finding on their own or are supplied by their adopter as long as it's fresh. Corn and wheat are considered especially delicious treats by this bitty type, so bringing at least one to a Crow is considered an adequate first step in earning their trust.

Wireless (Deltarune Werewerewire) Wireless bitties are similar to Rewires in appearance, though they are often darker in coloration than their cousins. The most common fur pattern among these bitty types is dark purple with cyan accents and a fluffy white ruff of fur around their neck. They have a drill-shaped covering over their faces, which is the remnant of the upgrade plugs that they have absorbed. They are quite fond of energy drinks but tend to be exceedingly quiet. They are reluctant to speak when interacted with and can be standoffish, though persistent kindness is key if one wishes to win the heart of a Wireless. They do not always get along with Rewires, oddly enough, but they are quite fond of Hathy-type bitties (especially Head Hathy-types, and it's not uncommon to witness mateships develop between these pairs). It is rumored that Wireless bitties are capable of purring, but this has not been confirmed.

Jackdaw (Angelrune Jevibitty) Opportunistic and intelligent, Jackdaw bitties possess black-feathered wings and pale gray irises. They are highly social and thrive best in a flock, though they are also extremely vocal and opportunistic. Jackdaw bitties love showing off their aerial skill, able to maneuver in tight spaces as well as perform tumbles in midair. In terms of environments, they prefer ones with a mix of large trees, buildings, and open ground. It's not uncommon for Jackdaws to flock together with birds outside of their type, with Catbirds being the most common. When congregating with other Jackdaws, they are capable of mobbing and driving off potential threats. Jackdaw bitties are generally monogamous in nature and are prone to nesting in ruined (and sometimes occupied) buildings and become quite protective over their nest areas as this is where they go when they need quiet time to destress. It's also not uncommon that a Jackdaw will steal things from their adopter and loved ones to line their nest with.

December Bitties

Partridge (Holiday Swatch) A light brown-feathered Paintmate, Partridges tend to be quite fond of two things: cold weather and pears. Pears are a Partridge's favorite snack and though they can be enticed to approach with an offering of such, it is no guarantee that they will click with a potential adopter. Should pears be in sort supply, they are typically content to settle with pear seeds. As with all Paintmates, they do take pride in their appearance and dislike having even a single feather out of place. They are excellent cooks, and can double as baking aficionados in a pinch. However, Partridges do not get along very well with Bittyduke types and will often prefer to avoid interacting with them entirely. Contrarily, they get along swimmingly with Lolhax and Mana bitties. They tend to enjoy painting when they manage some time to themselves, though Partridges are prone to turn into workaholics the closer it gets to the holidays.

Evergreen (Holiday K_K) Evergreen bitties are usually easy to tell apart from the rest of the Baby Cakes types due to their darker green coloration. They absolutely adore decorating themselves with holiday lights (whether intentionally or unintentionally) but they never let their mishaps with the bits and baubles ruin their cheerful nature. They love music and will happily belt out whatever song might be on the radio, holiday-related or not, and enjoy ad-libbing the lyrics if they're not familiar with the words. They can be a bit of a menace in the kitchen though, being prone to eat both raw cookie dough and baked cookies alike, and they often require someone to keep an eye on them because they tend to absently munch on snacks until there's none left. If given a limit, however, they pay better attention and try not to go beyond it. It is ill-advised to let them be around anything too fragile, as they are easily distracted and have been known to break glass ornaments.

Cracker (Holiday Cap'n) These bitties are named not only for their habit of cracking cheeky remarks and corny jokes, but for their love of different kinds of nuts. Favorite nuts can vary from Cracker to Cracker, but in general the most popular favorite tends to be walnuts. Crackers also have teeth strong enough that they can bite through the shell of any nut to get at the snack within. They also enjoy ballet, though that's not a fact readily shared with anyone except their closest friends. Cracker types are usually quick to make friends as well, especially with Baby Cakes and Sweetling types, and are slower to trust those outside of their little circle even though they might not display their lack of trust outwardly. They can be flirtatious, but they don't often mean anything by it. Cracker bitties can come in a variety of colors, though they are most commonly prefer to wear red and gold jackets with white pants and black boots.

Carobiel (Holiday Sweet) Given their name for their angelic appearance, Carobiel bitties are primarily white in color with golden accents and they sport a set of mechanical wings that are white gold in color. In terms of clothing, they wear a simple white robe. They also possess a halo that floats above their heads. Like Evergreen and Cracker types, Carobiels are fond of music but can be rather picky about the kinds they listen to. The most common preference seems to be instrumental holiday music that allows them to improvise the lyrics and experiment with remixing the tune. They rather enjoy making covers of holiday music in different genres, with classics such as 'Carol of the Bells' and 'Twelve Days of Christmas' being remixed into rock versions or 'Frosty The Snowman' being turned into a pop song. They dislike it when others swear excessively or purposefully do bad things. Carobiels don't do well alone, so it's recommended that they're adopted alongside an Evergreen and Cracker.
