Sun and "ants in the legs" at the National Day celebration
Soltorget in Pajala lived up to its name when [the King and Queen] celebrated National Day - the sun shone on all visitors. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel had just as much fun in Nykvarn.
- Let us strive together to build an even stronger and more inclusive country. A Sweden where everyone feels at home, a Sweden for which we all take responsibility, Victoria said in her speech.

According to tradition, the Royal Family split up to celebrate the national day in different parts of Sweden. The [King and Queen] visited Pajala; Victoria and Daniel celebrated the day in Nykvarn, and Prince Carl Philip attended the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace. There really was a summer atmosphere in all places.
- Sweet summer is now approaching. It is a flowering time with desire and great beauty. When it's in our bones, and we feel the expectations, it fills us with joy. When everything is possible, there is a promise of endless freedom, just like when we look up at the sky and see the blue-yellow flags flying, the Crown Princess said in her speech.

[The Crown Princess] and Prince Daniel also met a family member who participated in Nykvarn's citizenship ceremony. The King handed out banners to local organizations and associations on Soltorget. Author Mikael Niemi performed a kåseri, and the [King and Queen] were then treated to a lunch with classic Tornedal flavours.
