lake leviathan
when the waves surrounding me wake
times slower, and their lengths play tricks,
i watch peace flood over my lake
a star-blue haven, deep matrix.
rush of the sound of waterfalls,
as rivers feed my mind aglow,
a liquid universe calls,
i channel — i am let go.
fast the lake’s body falls asleep,
belly-held calm, hands holding rest,
i float awake through waters blessed,
as birds from the branch overhead leap.
