Palbocent 125 mg (Palbociclib) is used in combination with letrozole (an aromatase inhibitor) to treat postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor (ER) positive, HER2 negative advanced breast cancer.
How should Palbocent 125 mg be used?
Palbocent 125 mg (Palbociclib) mg comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken with food once daily for the first 21 days of a 28-day cycle. Your doctor will decide how many times you should repeat this cycle. Take Palbocent 125 mg (Palbociclib) at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Palbocent 125 mg (Palbociclib) exactly as directed. A rare, but serious side effect of Palbocent 125 mg (Palbociclib) is blood clots in the lung (pulmonary embolus (PE)). You should seek emergency help and notify your health care provider immediately if you develop sudden chest pain and shortness of breath. Notify your health care provider within 24 hours if you notice leg or arm swelling, redness, pain and/or skin warm to touch (signs and symptoms of possible blood clot in the arm or leg.)
