For the second time now I am considered to be in remission! Once again, I’ve temporarily kicked cancers ass!!
”The luck of the draw only draws the unlucky”
One of my favorite quotes by one of my favorite artists- Taylor Swift. I relate to that on an intimate level these days. A third reoccurrence is likely to eventually occur- all it takes is one or two cancer cells that they missed in order to start multiplying.
Once I became diagnosed with this humiliating and painful disease, it became very clear to me that surviving ovarian cancer isn’t a matter of winning a battle. All I am is prolonging the inevitable- I just happen to have a more obvious view of whenever that time may be than those who don’t have cancer.
If you’re only able to support me in the sense of hearting my posts, leaving a comment, or even reblogging the occasional post… Just know that your support means so much to me.
I’ve learned very quickly as soon as I’ve got my diagnosis that those who are in my immediate life either suddenly loved me because of the fame that those who are dying seem to have, or they decided to hate me because they were envious that I was getting attention I didn’t want. Not for this anyway.
I want my legacy to be a representation of the artistry that I create, the photography I personally take of me and for me, the writings that I produce, the impressions that I left behind, the modeling that I find peace within, the general artistry that I live and breathe… I didn’t want to be known as the sick girl.
In the beginning I honestly thought it best to keep it a secret from everybody. Someone close to me decided they wanted to be the first to blab on the Internet about my condition, so I decided to salvage the damage they caused and at least try to shed some light to not often discussed illness that will effect 1 out of 7 women in their lifetime.
Not so fun fact: you can go from stage 1 to stage 4 in a year and not even know! Most of the symptoms that are indicators of this disease are symptoms that also occur during periods, PMS, and pregnancy- oftentimes women falsely assume and grow excitement over impending motherhood only to go to a doctor finally and be told they need a hysterectomy if they want to live.
There is no easy way to confirm this condition by the way, getting an actual diagnosis on this disease usually requires it to advance to where you can see it clearly on an X-ray.
I myself am stage 3 Fallopian tube ovarian cancer. After several lonely rounds of chemotherapy I somehow have some of my hair, my body has shrunk, but I am alive. Join me for what remains of my journey- however long that may be. ☺️
I got a tad bit off track there, I apologize. Having to stop dancing at my strip club and focus on my writing has led to me being a little over explanatory sometimes.
If you’re able to support me financially in any sense then I’d greatly appreciate you messaging me (:
Despite all of the information that I just unloaded on you, you need not be worried for me! I’m very grateful that you’re here to support me in this journey. I thank for any other ideas that you may have that would include me in any way, shape or form and I will love you forever!
