One of the few dinosaurs we actually know the approximate colors of, Anchiornis huxleyi. By studying the melanosomes, color-determining pigments within fosilized feathers or skin, scientists can infer that Anchiornis had black, grey and white featheres across it's body with a reddish crest on it's head.
I, of course, stylized the colors, but I think it turned out pretty good. I tried to make it look like a chill little bird with the poses being mostly neutral and not so dynamic.

Kleo almost fell over and cracked her head against the floor, but jolted harder when someone seemed to catch her.
" Oh.. erm... hey yooouuu.. "
She tooootally wasn't just causing problems...

It was very characteristic for Stephanie to get lost, but this was a new low... She had been walking through the woods, sketchbook in hand, for what felt like hours and it was starting to get somewhat dark outside. All she wanted was to go somewhere new for some inspiration, only to completely lose the path. Feeling hopeless, she had decided to seek out a high point, to see if she could spot any familiar landmarks in the distance.
Coming up on a hill, the girl was not met with ANY familiar landmarks, but what looked like a dig site stretching out underneath her. The hill sharply sloped down from where she stood into various dig outs of different depths and sizes. While scanning the site below curiously her gaze met with a tall... bird person, of some kind? She couldn't make out a lot of detail, but she could see they were plunged deep into their work and not paying her any attention. Good!
Stephanie had heard of faunal elementals back home with bird-like magically altered appearances, but she never heard about any species with such anatomy on Earth... Could this be someone from her world perhaps? She was not about to find out. From her experiences, such encounters ended up in violence about 50% of the time and she was not taking that chance today.
Just as the girl turned to leave, like on cue, she had managed to lose her balance, and tumbled down the dug out slope ungracefully. After what felt like an eternity she had landed right in front of the working stranger. To add onto her humiliation, she had dropped her sketchbook while falling, which managed to bounce down in just the perfect way to hit her in the head with a loud thunk.
" Ow... " she groaned in pain. If they weren't paying attention before, they most definitely were now.
Rubbing her now achy scalp she looked up at the person in front of her. Oh jeez... They were even taller than they looked up close.
" H-Hi there! " she quickly picked herself up, raising her hands in front of her as if she were bracing for some kind of altercation. " I-I didn't mean to drop by like this... I-I got a little... A little lost, haha... W-Where am I? " Stephanie asked nervously. The pun she had just made flew entirely over her head as she prayed for this person to be friendly.
