So, I have a question for those out there doing low/carb, keto, paleo....whichever. I was told that the first 3 days of an all-protein diet, I would feel drained and sluggish. Is this correct? I have been fine since I started, definitely went into ketosis according to the pee stick. Today though, day #10, I am fighting to stay awake and have slept most of the day...
Dinner
Today was too hot to use the oven, so I got the crock-pot out of the basement. We bought a fresh chicken at the farmers' market yesterday, and I put it in the crock-pot with onion, garlic, carrots, fresh thyme, fresh sage, salt, and pepper.
A few hours later, dinner was ready. Crock-pots make cooking so easy! I also fried some sweet potato slices in bacon grease and seasoned them with salt and chili powder.
We had a salad on the side with lettuce, spinach, walnuts, and dried cranberries, dressed with homemade balsamic vinaigrette.
