Because I've been sick and haven't had the opportunity to draw, I thought I'd upload something I've been working on in the background.
This is Palet, the TTRPG setting I've been working on for Summoner Saga. Palet was designed with the mythical creatures and beings of our world in mind, rather than DnD. Part of that meant Palet needed to be reminiscent of our own world to recreate the cultural contexts in which those mythical creatures exist in. Because of that, it's a bit of a historical hodge-podge of each region's greatest moments (or the ones I find the most interesting). The Porphyrine Empire is a mix of Achaemenid and Sassanian Persia, the Mizurio Isles are Yamato-era Japan, and the Brunnheimar are migration-era "barbarian" kingdoms. Familiar events for our world as playing out on Palet as we speak: a 10-headed demon raids Naranga and Celeste from his island fortress, a duke of Lazulia is embroiled in a custody battle with the fairy Melusine, and the heimar Amberbardia is plagued by dragons while the king is fooling around in Murex with his dwarf side-kick Alberich.
The color theme came from Palet being envisioned for a creature collector game, and the most popular of those began with a color theme for its locations as well.
