POV palm attacking killua and being interrupted by his breakdown

i am very tired of seeing people warn for all sorts of things in hxh but leaving out the abuse killua experiences. yes, warn for hisoka. yes, warn for the phantom troupe. yes, warn for palm. yes, warn for sometimes graphic violence. i am by no means saying that these aren’t great things to warn for! but i so often see people leaving out the zoldycks and in particular the horrible brand of abuse that comes from illumi. 

i went into hunter x hunter with no idea illumi even existed and i could go into the exact details of the reaction i had my first time watching what he did to killua but i don’t think anyone really wants to know that. suffice it to say that it was really, really bad, and that kind of thing can affect people so much, and the fact that i far more commonly see hisoka and chrollo warned for than i do illumi says a lot to me.

it’s not like they can’t all be tagged, right? i know they can all be tagged because i know multiple people who do tag them all, but there’s a concerning trend i’ve noticed over my time in this fandom where they aren’t. and that can make it hard to be involved in the fandom because for obvious reasons i don’t exactly like running across things that upset me. (and before anyone says anything about curating your own experience, i have blocked so many variations of illumi’s name at this point that it’s getting ridiculous.)

if i’d known about illumi going into hxh then maybe i wouldn’t have had such a bad reaction. maybe i would have. i don’t know. but i would like to try and prevent other people from experiencing that as well.

this isn’t meant to be mean to anyone or to make anyone feel bad. i’m not even thinking of anyone in particular right now! i just want to put my feelings out there. and hey, if you do warn for and tag for illumi? awesome. fabulous. thank you. that’s great. if you don’t, i’m not mad at you or anything like that. i just would like people to maybe consider a little bit more what they are warning for and what they aren’t. i want hunter x hunter to be a safe and fun experience for everyone, you know? 

anyway, that’s all i have to say. if you actually read through all that, it’s much appreciated.

yes and palm also i always count her as one of them. and honestly if we’re being honest the caa adults are all bastards too.
