Date With A Cowboy with @paloma-espadas
Wednesday, May 6th
Noah hadn’t been on a date in a while. Recently he had his fair share of hookups, but not actual dates. It usually started at the bar and they ended up somehow in someone’s bed. Paloma had tried to learn horse riding with him and now they were going to get a drink together. Surely wasn’t his usual. She was also different from the women he went out with. Paloma had this witty and spirituous energy to her that was unlike the country girls he had hookup before. So maybe why he was quite excited to see her again. The day before he had actually got a nice shave and a hair cut. After being called Tarzan by her and caveman by Willow and constantly picked on by his 10-year-old daughter as well, he decided it was due time for a change. He still had the beard and slightly longer locks, but much nicer and cleaner looking. Noah was certain she would be surprised by it.
His daughter Autumn certainly was. ‘Ohh, daddy! Are you getting all fancy for a girl?’ She had teased him about it on Tuesday and although he trailed it off, she picked up when he called his sister over the next day to sit her. “Don’t go to bed late, okay? You text me or call me if anything and I’ll pick you up here tomorrow for school.” He had dropped Autumn off at Millie’s before he went to meet Paloma. Autumn never had many sitters, when he needed the assistance it was either his twin or her grandparents that he asked to watch the little one. And Autumn loved so it all worked perfectly.
At eight o’clock he was knocking at her door like they agreed. He was there five before but chose to wait for the right time just he could tell her, with a bright smile seeing her, “Told you I would be on time” when the door was opened to him. “Hey.”
