For those trying to avoid spoilers for the last two weeks of the Summer of Steven event, I wanted to make a post about possible incoming leaks so you can best prepare.
Disclaimer: This is general information based off of my observations and limited understanding of leaks. It may not turn out the way I describe, you never know what will happen.
The first batch of leaks you should be worried about is the 2 minute previews and screenshots. You can tell that a preview is unofficial by the intro. Only unofficial previews have them. Sometimes people post the leaks with the intro edited out, tricking many into thinking they are official. The best thing to do is to rely only on the official CN youtube channel for previews. That is the safest way!
The screenshots are worse than the previews when it comes to leaks. They are pre-determined by CN based on specific timestamps. Leakers do not choose which ones to “take”, they just come that way. That’s why some of them are screenshots of a door or awkward in-between. These screenshots can spoil the end of an episode, unlike the previews which are always just the beginning of the episode. Be careful of these!
The previews + screenshots are leaked a few days before the episode airs. For a week of episodes, the leaks start at Friday at the earliest to Monday at the latest. So by the first day of a bomb event, typically all the previews and screenshots for the week’s batch of episodes will be leaked.
The whole ep leaks are uploaded around 5 hours before airtime, so expect them at ~2:00 PM everyday unless CN forgets to upload them (like they did yesterday with “Restaurant Wars”, there was no leak that day).
