A chaotic Valentines for poor Edgeworth >:3

When Miles is just starting to recover from being so ill in Cohdopia, Palaeno tries getting him up from bed every morning to build up his strength. The doctors say it's best for him to take short walks around the house. From the bed to the kitchen. From the the kitchen to the living room. Plenty of rest in between.

They make it three days before Miles' symptoms flare up again. He makes it to a chair at the kitchen table on shaking legs, Palaeno's arm tight around him.

"I'll get you water, dear. Just wait one moment for me."

Miles curls up into the hard wood. His body trembles. His cheeks are flushing with fever again.

And as Palaeno eases water into his hands, he begins to cry.

He just feels so terrible. It's been a month. He wants his old body back. He wants to be healthy again. He wants to go back to bed.

Palaeno has him drink his water and take deep breaths to calm down. Palaeno is always good at that. In and hold it and out. He wipes Miles' tears away and when he's ready, he wraps his arms around him and they walk together back to bed.

Palaeno promises him that things will get better. That he'll feel better soon. He's already on the mend. He just needs a bit more rest.

And Miles falls into an uneasy sleep that lasts the rest of the morning. Palaeno stays by his side and waits.

if you consider that lang was kinda flirting with edgeworth throughout the entirety of aa1-5 palworth becomes like 40 times funnier

lang finds out that edgeworth and palaeno have a thing and he confronts him about it and is like “what the hell i was flirting with you this whole time why did you go for him when i literally have fangs”

miles is like “i was kidnapped with a severe head injury and you basically told me it was my fault and didnt spare one of your hundred men to come look for me. palaeno noticed i hadn’t slept in days and put me up in a 5 star hotel suite and sent me breakfast in bed the next morning with flowers and fancy tea. who would you choose”

lang: ok…fair enough but he still doesn’t have fangs

Chapter summary: It’s late. The embassy is quiet. Calm after a swirl chaos and flame. Miles Edgeworth sits on his couch, sipping honey tea and falling asleep.

With his red jacket strewn behind him Colias can’t help but think he looks like a butterfly. All beauty and fragile wings.

Flowers and butterflies make beautiful and wonderful things when they meet. No matter how brief. So when Miles tangles his hands in his golden hair he goes down willing. Savors the sweet.

Palworth week Day 1 ~ Sweet

Well, I'm always in for petty revenge writing. Here's my piece for day 1 @digitalstowaway

"Hey sweetheart, try this!"

Miles looked at Colias with a curious expression. Miles said, while gesturing to the cup Colias was holding.

"What's that?"

Colias raised the cup.

"This is just a traditional dessert from Cohdopia, I'm sure you will like it"

Miles took the cup, cautiously, he started eating. At first, it was nice but as he kept eating his face changed. Colias started worrying so he asked.

"What's wrong sweetheart"

Miles swallowed loudly and answered with a sad expression.

"It's actually quite nice, but it's too sweet for my taste"

Colias took the cup from him and said.

"Well, it's not for everyone, how about we make some crepes?"

Miles' face lit up

"Yes, of course!"

Colias and Miles spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out how to make crepes, at the end they had fun and ate some delicious crepes for dinner.

My original Valentine’s Day idea was to draw some Miles rarepairs, but I ran out of steam

Palaeno finds out that Miles has a major sweet tooth he usually suppresses

So he starts getting Miles little treats when they go out. He buys him Cohdopia's finest desserts and teaches him all about how the country values sweets. He buys him ice cream when they're taking walks on hot days in LA.

He loves how Miles smiles when they get treats. He loves he'll stop talking over meals when it comes to dessert. He especially loves reaching out to wipe chocolate off of the corner of Miles' mouth and making him blush.
