Your introduction: You hit the Institute at 15. Fast backstory time: Valentine found you while he was laying low with Jonathan. You were living on the streets, taking care of yourself and you greatly impressed him. Your parents had been in the Circle with him until he killed them after they left. You’d been alone ever since. He took you in and trained you with Jonathan. Being with Valentine and Jonathan, it was a good thing you were tough. Eventually, when you hit 15, he sent you to the NY Institute to keep and eye on Jace as someone his age, and to assist Hodge. You learned what love was like there and never sent him any information that was usefull, too aware that officially quitting would mean death but unwilling to help him.

How you got together: Ok so In CoG when you refused to fight with Valentine, he reveled your past to everyone. Jace was beyond hurt and told you to leave after everything and so after more insistance from him as well as cruelty and distrust from the Clave, you did. You went to Sebastian, knowing that he couldn’t be dead and vowing to stop him because you knew what a monster he really was. You told yourself you wouldn’t return until you had stopped Sebastian. In COLS when Jace was taken by Sebastian and brainwashed, he kept telling you over and over how much he cared about you and tried to be with you. But you knew it wasn’t him and you kept him at arms length. When Clary came you two worked together to stop Sebastian. When that was finally over, you and Jace  and Clary went back to the Institute and Jace finally told you he was wrong before and told you how he felt (of course then there was the heavenly fire to deal with)
