The dangerous part of growing up with the most terrifying monster of all by your side, carrying the legacy of the family that devoted its lineage to slay and enslave the evil, is that you might become something that with each day could begin to scare people far more than the monster you own. A human tormenting the beast to the point that even if he could see himself in the mirror, he wouldn't be able to recognize the reflection. Any power does come with the price, though. It's a shame you forgot to read the price tag, Pamela.
Okay, so, and hear me out!
What if Integra had a daughter that died in her late twenties from the hands of her loyal dog, of course, even though it would seem like the lung cancer should've caught her sooner?
... That's a rhetorical question, ladies and gentlemen
@crocodile-i-guess
Mother told little Pamela about the creatures of the night who drink blood and roam the earth in search of battle. “One day you will grow up and replace me as the head of an organization that fights against those monsters.” “But mom, how can humans fight monsters that are so much stronger than they are?” “Our family owns the most terrifying of them all. And when you become the head of the family, he will serve you faithfully.” These words never left Pamela's mind, she had to see this vampire, so at night she snuck into a place where she was strictly forbidden to go-the basement. There, she met the man in red. “Sir, I'm looking for a vampire, do you know where he might be?”- she asked politely, looking into the stranger's eyes. “And why is a little lady looking for a vampire?”- he asked with a tinge of amusement in his voice. “Because I Pamela Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing and when I grow up, he will be mine! I-i want to see him, just a little look-see, please, sir!" “Well, Lady Pamela, I'll take you to the vampire.”- and the stranger in red held out his hand to the girl. She took the man's hand and he led her deep into the basement to a door painted with strange symbols. When he invited Pamela inside and her eyes got used to the darkness, she saw a coffin. She ran over and pushed the lid open just to see.. "There's no vampire in here!" “No vampire? How strange” - a stranger in red bent down to look at the opened coffin with the child- “Indeed, you are correct. Whatever will you do now, Lady Pamela?”
Pamela thought for a few seconds and an idea struck her face: “It's night! The vampire must be out hunting, why didn't I think of that?” She took the stranger by the hand and led him back out into the hallway. There, she looked around and, not finding the vampire in the vicinity, returned to the man in red. “Do you have any other ideas where he could be?” “Not a single one, lady.” -he said with fake worry in his voice. “Then we'll have to lure him out.” Pamela pulled a dagger out of her dress pocket. It gleamed silver in the basement light, catching the stranger's eye. The girl exhaled and closed her eyes, slicing her palm. She held her hand out in front of her, staring resolutely into the passage, expecting the vampire to appear from any direction, but to no avail. “Sir… there is no vampire here either” - She turned to her companion in confusion and then took several steps back when she saw him. The stranger's eyes were glowing red, and he had a wide smile on his face with sharp teeth clearly visible. “What's the matter, little lady, you look like you've seen a… monster,”- he said with a mocking tone, but then the girl held the dagger out in front of her, her brows furrowed. “You fooled me, you infernal creature, but I saw past you. Don't move, vampire, or I'll slay you!”- The girl's knees were trembling, but she held the blade firmly, keeping her eyes on the enemy. The vampire's eyes widened for a second, but then narrowed in a smile. He got down on one knee in front of Pamela and spoke in a sweet voice. “It looks like I have no choice but to surrender."
Babe! Please! I need to know more about Pamela, is she basically Abraham Van Helsing 2.0 (torturing and experimenting on Alucard, I think it’s been heavily implied in the snippets of your comic bits)?
So, I have been gone and Im gonna be gone for a pretty long time, so I'll at least answer you
Calling Pamela an Abraham Van Hellsing 2.0 might be a little rich, her motivation for what she does is different and her view on Alucard is far less noble than that of Abraham.
But she absolutely sees herself as continuing and perfecting Abraham's ways, especially first couple of years of being a director.
