I have become quite critical of blind box culture in general lately but i definitely see the appeal of... well, trinket gambling. I needn't mention how much money *i've* spent to get a tempest eichi collectible i didnt even pull in the end. So i realise im throwing rocks from a glass house... but i see a difference in the fact that es is my spinterest and i waited years before buying my first merch vs getting something bc it's trendy and the hype will die down by this time next year. Does anyone still think of stanley cups? Maybe the dedicated collectors we dont see much of anymore. I would really hope that they at least still treasure their accumulated pieces
Oh one last thing. 90% of blind boxes are ugly af to me. There are some really cute ones but most i see just make me question who Even is buying this stuff...
