Y'all, I think people are tweaking about what Ortensia did for absolutely no reason... And like, I mean no reason.
The fact I'm seeing people genuinely get upset that she—a mother, mind you—is protecting her child from TWO WANTED CRIMINALS is literally so mind boggling to me. Not to mention, the whole scene is part of Mugman's dream sequence... which is not a credible source? At all?
First of all, it's going to be biased because it's a traumatic memory and dreams are generally pretty fuzzy! (Plus, they tend to reflect a character's mental state in media) Second of all, Ortensia is a literal stranger to Mugman, he has no idea who she was a person!
Sure, if Ortensia was using her kid as bait for Cuphead and Mugman to be arrested? Yeah, that's pretty concerning and irresponsible! But we don't even know if that's what was going down or not, because it is in MUGMAN'S. PERSPECTIVE.
Ortensia doesn't know the two guys other than that they're infamous, dangerous people. All she sees is that they have DIP (a lethal substance) and her child. That's probably terrifying to her, and I thought it'd be obvious her automatic response is to protect her child to her best ability.
