Kinda random but I just wanted to say that its really awesome that you portray RD as so normal (if that makes sense) Amost always the idea of someone having both sex characteristics is always weird or fetishized in some way in both normal and nsfw art but there are real people who are intersex and they shouldnt be fetishized. Their bodies are just as desirable but they arent be objects. I love you made RD intersex but theyre not defined by it. I hope my little rant made sense lol so ya I love RD

I creeped through your blog and read all your arcana comics so now I know some more basics about your ocs lol but Id still love a get to know RD/Orion post! Anything you want to share sounds great! The only specifics I can think to ask are 1) Is RD based on yourself or just an oc (same with Orion and maybe if you have a pet you based them on lol) 2) are the marks on RD's arm scars or a tattoo? And 3) their basic backstory if you dont have a comic planned already 🙂

I'll do a separate RD/Orion post when I have more time later this weekend. I'm p busy this week

So to answer your questions:

1. Yes RD is a self insert character. They are me but with some differences of course. I definitely do think they're tougher than I am. You know how they got hurt in the Coliseum? Yea I'd cry and give up right away XD. Orion is a completely new character on his own. He is not based on a pet or past oc.

2. The marks on their arm are scars. RD does self harm due to bad coping mechanisms/skills from their mental health issues and trauma. Post resurrection RD does try to cover it bc they're self conscious but they have done it a few times themselves too.

3. RDs basic back story is that RD was born in a village in the far East. They do come from a special bloodline but they dont really know that. All RD knows is that their parents are from a higher status that can influence people. RD was born intersex (hermaphrodite) which the father considered to be a monstrosity. He keeps that a secret from the villagers out of shame and embarrassment. RD showed magical abilities at as a baby; toys and other objects would levitate around them. The father turned the village people against RD by making them think that magic users were a curse and monsters. RD's mother took RD and ran away into the night towards Vesuvia where her sister (the aunt) lived in. The aunt and mom would argue about RD staying with her bc she did not want to be responsible for RD. Eventually, the mom abandoned RD with the aunt and went back to the village where she was killed upon return. The aunt did not want to care for RD but felt she had no choice. Although she let RD stay, she mistreated RD until her death. RD took over the shop at the age of 16.

I just wanted to say I'm not really a fan of anyone's apprentice ocs (I'm just not very interested I have nothing against them lol) but I really love yours and their familiar! They're both cute design wise and character wise! Do you have a post where you talk more about them that's not just a comic? I'd love to learn more about both of them 😊

Curious not-so-anon lol how did you get into vkei?

A friend I had my freshman year of high school got me into visual kei. She showed me a picture of LM.C and let me borrow a CD and it just kind of snowballed from there ^_^

Funny you say you fell out of love with kpop and rediscovered your love of vkei cause thats exactly what happened with me! I originally listened to only 2ne1 and big bang then i was introduced to vkei by way of SuG and other oshare kei bands I was big into vkei before getting into kpop for the last couple years. Then i just fell out of love with kpop and went back to vkei with more metal bands like Gazette and Dadaroma. Now im a vkei mess lol

(I’m so sorry, Tumblr doesn’t like to tell me I have messages) I know its a little funny. the Visual kei scene was a little slow, so I turned to kpop. From there I got into big bang and I got into Korean Hip Hop. I started liking BTS and BAP and they became my bias groups. then groups started breaking up and members left and the quality of music went downhill. And that’s when I got back into visual kei. Although I still listen to kpop now and again, And I still really like BTS, I’m just not into it like I used to be. And Don’t worry, We’re all VKei messes ;)
