I'm not sure if this has been answered, but how will you know if you receive any scholarship awards from SVA? I was recently accepted, and I have to work out costs before I can even think to attend (like every parent, dad is totally against this art idea..). And, do they look harder at GPAs or portfolios? Any information you can provide is always greatly appreciated!
Aaaand another late answer from me. Why do people follow me, again?
I don’t remember the process as well as I should, but as I recall every accepted student who completes their FAFSA receives an award letter at some point in the late spring/early summer. You should call Admissions (917-592-2100) for an actual answer, because I have a bad feeling that I’m giving deeply flawed information and I really don’t want to lead you astray D:
They look pretty equally at both - as in, if you have a good GPA but a meh portfolio, they’ll probably accept you, and the same goes for if you have a good portfolio and meh grades. I had a truly mediocre portfolio when I applied, but I graduated high school with something north of a 4.0, so.
