ALL she did was stare for a moment, frozen in her steps as eyes set upon her friend SHIRTLESS. How could she even respond to something like that? Mouth was agape, face slowly but surely reddening. It was then that the teenager snapped back to reality, turning on her heels immediately without a second thought. She missed the door, however, and slammed her head into the wall.

                      “ I —- I’m sorry !!  ”

“Wha-”

He didn’t have much time to respond, she had wandered into his room while he was changing, it didn’t faze him much; he and his team had changed in front of their female manager before and he had grown used to it.  Evidently however Mai didn’t have such experience, as she turned to run away before face planting into a wall.  It amazed him how she was able to move that quickly, even if she was stopped just as fast.  Dropping the shirt he had in hand he rushed over to her, kneeling down to check her condition.

“Hey are you okay?  You hit that pretty hard.”

Falls asleep on him tbh

“Uh...  M-mai?”

She was out cold, refusing to wake up despite Kita’s poking and prodding, he was trapped.  Her torso pinned him to the couch, she was small but if he moved her she’d probably wake up...  He didn’t want to know what she’d do to him if he did that, she could be deadly when provoked, like an ocelot...  (Speaking of ocelots, there was a documentary on them in a few minutes that he wanted to watch.) 

Everything useful was just out of arms reach, the remote, his phone, his drink; truly this was a dire situation.  The over the top drama they had been binge watching together continued to rattle off cheesy lines and half baked romances as he sat there, Mai wrapping her arms around him in her sleep.

Kita had no choice but to accept defeat, he was doomed to stick around on the couch for the night.  With great effort he managed to shimmy his jacket off his back without moving too much, he slid it from behind him and rested it over Mai to keep her warm before leaning back into the cushions.

“I’m going to miss my documentary...”

Stands on her tiptoes and presses her lips to his eagerly, moving away to give a smile and a cupcake!

“Yes...  This is a good gift.”

His lips tingled a bit after she lowered herself away from his face, the smol handing him a cupcake with a smile.  His cheeks flushed a bit as he took the cake for himself, this was nice, birthdays weren’t something he usually looked forward to.  But if this was what he had to look forward to every year he could get used to it. 

“Happy Birthday to me...”

Stands on tip toes and kisses.

He wasn’t expecting that at all, he didn’t know she could reach his lips on level ground.  Another thing to watch out for whenever Mai got jumpy, though he didn’t mind this kind of surprise.  As soon as she let herself back down, he leaned down to meet her again, laying his own kiss on her.  A quick peck followed by a dumb grin, that was his specialty, playful smooches were his game.

“What was that about?”  He inquired, curious of what had gotten her so excited.  “Actually...  I don’t really need to know.”  Picking her up with arms wrapped tightly around her frame, he locked his lips with hers again.

“How can you manage to be so cute all the time?”
