Me: I’m pretty sure Pandreo being a priest and Panette with the calavera markings are supposed to be a reference to Spain (I know calaveras are not Spanish but I don’t trust video game makers with any type of geography) which is why they’re lighter. I tell myself this because otherwise I’ll just get annoyed and there’s enough irl stuff for that.
