It seems doubtful that aren’t a good enough writer. Plenty of great writers got rejected many, many times for their books. And self-publishing is damn hard. Getting your works out there to find your market takes skill, hard work and/or sheer luck. Many famous authors don’t find success until later in life. Which I’m guessing doesn’t help with your understandable despair and despondence. But I’ll be wishing you luck and offering you hugs in the meantime.

Have you heard of A Bride's Story/Otoyomegatari? Set in 19th Century Central Asia, it's a slice-of-life manga about former nomad Amir, recently married to Karluk, a boy eight years younger than her. Embroidery is a plot point more than a few times and is lavishly shown. I thought it might be up your alley! Google image search "Otoyomegatari embroidery" for a few page examples~

I told you a while back about a friend(s) of mine with Dissociative Identity Disorder with a girlfriend and cats? Well~ They now have a steady, okay paying job that they love, their cats have been joined by a cute puppy and two bunnies, and they are now engaged. I thought I'd share the good news of another DID person with you!
