Sweet, I hadn't seen the vol redraws posted yet, so thanks! Interesting, looks like Murata changed Mustachio's angle of attack to better fit Nichirin's script towards his student: 'he can't attack horizontally in populated areas' [implied: now he can use Tomboy horizontally to full effect without collateral damage when he's not fighting in the city] And now, although it's harder to see his character in the bottom right corner of the spread, his attack running parallel to the ground along the length of the chasm makes a lot more sense here than aiming perpendicular to it (vertically in the air) as before. I can see why Murata needed to change that!

The latest opm chapter aligns with the webcomic's ch106, finally setting things up for the upcoming Neo Heroes arc, and Genos gets his new body!

The only adult who set Tatsumaki free, was Blast.

(In truth, his advice to her as a child only placed a heavy curse of expectations on her way of life.)

Young Tatsumaki hopes, "I'm sure Blast will respect me after I've gotten this strong. I'm sure he'll teach me a better way to live my life."

(In truth, she pleads, "Blast! I've tried really hard! But nothing works out. I don't want everyone to be afraid of me. But unless they are, things will just be like before. What should I do...?")

Meanwhile, Saitama assures to adult Tatsumaki, "Esper or whatever, you can live your life as you like..."

(Which, while not a concrete answer, is at least a step towards easing that curse and releasing some of those heavy, lonely constraints on her life.)

So no changes besides homeless emperor death being black and white because the raws were colored but its still in the website

Oh huh! :O (Thanks for the info!) So was Platinum redrawn? Hold on, lemme check....looks like his shine was re-shaded (darker?) and that neck pattern removed. (@pinapultra this is your area of expertise, what do you think?)

Otherwise the volume looks to have pretty minor/minimal changes. The god color pages being printed in black & white is a pretty typical expectation too, since the full-color Genos meteor chapter was similarly published the same way, so no surprise there.

As for the anime, well...I still doubt they can get very far, and I don't really have any concrete expectations - it'd be a miracle for them to squeeze in the entirety of the MA arc at this rate, but most of all, the more volumes that are published (finalized) the more that can be adapted into anime. So as always, the more vols we get, the better~

Honestly wasn't a fan of the last few volume covers but hoo boy is this one really good. Great moment between Genos and Tatsumaki and ACTUALLY COVERING CANON EVENTS!!

......Whoa! The cover for vol28's been revealed! :O And...ahaha wow, Murata that image can be really misinterpreted out of context, but YES! The moment of their heroic teamwork vs Psykorochi, as Genos bodily shields Tatsumaki while she's literally got his back, so she can go all out preparing for her final attack!

Specifically more closely adapted from these panels of their exchange, where she praises him for a job well done and he smiles back with that response:

(Personally I think the cover would be even neater if it showed Tatsumaki's stigmata palm wounds and wearing her clothes as to not get the wrong idea out of context oop, but ayy. Genos gets some highly rendered pretty lashes in exchange for being zoomed in that close~) And of course, much improvement imo over some of the previous 'fluff' covers when this one actually depicts a fitting and relevant canon event happening within the volume; I'll take it! :'D

Some notable changes and differences to the Waterfall Scene™

Webcomic Garou: it’d been more than 10chs (nearly 5 years real time) before we ever saw him again after the Saitama battle. King, on a journey to strengthen himself after visiting many dojos with no luck, chances upon him (with short hair) meditating in solitude deep in the mountains at the ‘final training grounds’ known only to martial arts masters at the peak of their journey. (Timing: exactly upon the airing of his S2 anime debut.)

Manga Garou: IMMEDIATELY we check up on him after the Saitama battle, and Bang is the one who purposely goes there to FIND and adopt him at one of their secretly known training locations. He keeps the scar and his iconic wolf hair, and the other eye that had been symbolically used throughout his arc to show his ‘monster side,’ opens up as human towards new possibilities. (Timing: exactly upon the announcement for the anime’s S3 continuation.)

Reigen & Garou’s most evil encounter... 

So I was rereading the REIGEN manga and *internally screams* oh god, ONE really has a liking for this same type of disturbing, skin-crawling horror. Because that thing is absolutely not the real Mob (Reigen knows this, and realizes how much he’s already fucked) or Bang (Garou does not know this or understand what’s happening...til it’s too late.)

In both stories, a powerful evil entity takes the form of who they trust most to lure & entrap their victims. In Reigen’s case IT takes the visage of his most dependable disciple, while in Garou’s case IT takes the visage of his old master whom he’s only beginning to trust more....;o; 

Which in Tome’s words is one of the scariest (and most evil) things, because “there’s nothing more sinister than being betrayed by the one you [trust most].”

Fortunately Reigen is immediately saved, hand in hand, by the real Mob coming to his rescue before anything horrible happens to him, but Garou..............;o; Hoooo, he’ll have to endure the worst non-consensual horrors on his own to save any semblance of sanity, because not even the likes of Saitama can save that which happens next.
