The Perfect Pan Fried Steak

INGREDIENTS:
2 New York Striploin Steaks
Salt and Pepper (seasoning for steak)
Olive oil
2 tbs Salted butter
2 cloves of garlic
A few sprigs of thyme
freshly chopped parsley
1 tbs of garlic butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ensure your steak is always room temperature beofre cooking, this will ensure an even cook of the steak. Preheat the oven to Roast at 350F. You will need an oven safe frying pan for this dish.
To prep the steaks, pat dry with a paper towel, and season well with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Get a few sprigs of thyme and clean 2 cloves of garlic.
In a Large fying pan, turn heat on to medium high and drizzle with olive oil. Add the steaks , butter thyme and garlic. Cook the steak on the first side for 1 min, then flip. Once you start cooking on the second side (for another minute). Use a spoon, and baste the steak with the garlic butter and thyme.
Next place the pan in oven and roast from 3-5 mins depending on how rare you want it. For Medium rare, cook for 5 mins. Once the steak is cooked, remove from oven, and place the steaks on a cutting board to rest for 10 mins, this will allow the steak to remain juicy and not bleed out.
Rub the steak with garlic butter and top with chopped parsley and slice the steak , place on top of grilled veggies or mashed potatoes!
