Jasper, the Dinosaur Shaper
Pangero is a primeval world where magic is rare and dinosaurs are plentiful. Few have the gift of magic and the gift can be taken. Jasper was born a shapeshifter and was razed by a pack of dinosaurs, despite being born an elf. Upon his adopted mother’s death, he ventured forth into civilization and was quickly marked for his magic. It was a fight for survival after that, one he wanted no part in. He saw no need to expand his own magic and to kill another to take their power sickened him. Vowing to brake the cycle of violets he shepherded all the mages he could to the small valley in which he was razed. A mighty necromancer hounded them and Jasper met him in combat. The mages rallied behind him and he realised he had achieved his goal. The mages could live in peace protected by the dinosaurs and each other. But joy turned to anger as his spark ignited and he met Queen Beatrice. Someone who kills not even for power or survival, but for sport.
Jasper is a naturally bourn druid and can shapeshift into almost any creature he is familiar enough with. He almost always chooses giant dinosaurs. He can also change the shape of others, often changing ally’s without warning. He has begun experimenting with mixing and matching body parts when shifted, to the horror of his teammates. It rarely occurs to him to change his enemy’s into something small and week as he sees that as cheating.
