oh yea also most americans actually don’t have kettles bc we’re lazy motherfuckers who would generally rather buy iced tea or something, and use coffee makers instead of kettles and a french press (which is what we use in my house)

personally i prefer coffee or herbal tea over Tea tea™ but i like certain blends w black tea... anyway jus wanted to say we have 2 kettles in my house (one is electric n the other goes on the stove) and in the ONLY one who uses the stovetop kettle to make tea OR coffee... everyone claims the electric one is faster but i just want to hear it whistle when it boils

Valid. The whistle.... the toot, if you will, is cleansing and God I wish I had an old fashioned kettle. Also I think electric kettles and stove kettles heat up at the same speed and anyone who says otherwise is a coward
