The Afrobeat Opera by Ayetoro Nigerian Afrobeat/ Jazz band Ayetoro are proud to release the video for the introductory single Ife is sublime. Ife is Sublime is from the forthcoming album Esoterica Galactica: Afrobeat chronicles Vol 4. The album has been seven years in the making and produced by Ghanaian producer Panji Anoff for the West African Frontier Force (a production house made up of Ayetoros Funsho Ogundipe and Accra based Sewor Okudzeto of (African Relaxation Techniques ) there are also collaborations with seminal figures in Afrobeat history including Drum legend Tony Allen. Ife is Sublime features songstress Nneka on vocals and also a cameo performance on violin by Kyla Rose Smith of the South African group Freshlyground. With this video the group expands its artistic vision with bandleader and composer Funsho Ogundipe directing the video under the pseudonym Seriki Apomu and members of the band making acting roles in a short movie of the same name. According to Ogundipe "we are now a collective which not only makes great music but concentrates on creating vibrant art. I expect that we will go on with our plans to make great music live and on record, short and feature length movies, write books and create Afrobeat operas"he enthused .
