Hi! What happens when a God from Theros is enchanted with Darksteel Mutation? In particular, does it stop being a creature if its devotion becomes too low (because of layers, maybe?), or is this ability completely canceled?

Darksteel Mutation will always have a newer timestamp than whatever it enchants, so its effect that sets the types of the permanent it enchants will always apply after any native abilities like those of the Theros Gods. This means that the permanent enchanted by Darksteel Mutation can never stop being an artifact creature due to its own printed abilities.

Hello! How do effects that double damage interact with damage assignment? For example, if a 3/3 is blocked by two 2/2, and a furnace of Rath is on the battlefield, will both blockers die? or only one, because I must assign 3 damage to it (and 1 to the other) , and THAN damage is doubled?

Effects that double damage double the damage when it’s dealt, not when it’s assigned. This means that in the case of trample or multiple blockers, you’re going to have a lot of overkill going on.

In the situation you describe, you can assign 2 damage to the first blocker and 1 damage to the second blocker. When the damage is dealt, the first blocker will be dealt 4 damage and the second blocker will be dealt 2 damage. Both will die, as will your creature which is dealt 8 damage.

You talked of rules changes about tracking cards with madness discarded, or about the order of replacement effects. I totally trust you. But when can we expect an official statement by WotC about these rule updates?

The update bulletin will be posted sometime this week or possibly next week and will cover all the upcoming CR and Oracle rules changes.

Php is known to be anti-intuitive and terrible, so that may be a reason too!

Oh, really? I thought JAVA was the most terrible language to have to learn, and after that everything (especially PHP) was supposed to go a lot easier, haha.

Though honestly, CSS all the way if you ask me. CSS is beautiful. Just not really useful on its own but sssh.

Last article by Stoddard talked about how in the past you had to know rules in details (corner cases, weird situations...) if you wanted to play tournaments. As an example, he recalled that "an opponent asking "May I Lightning Bolt you?" was them actually trying to Time Walk you.". Do you know what kind of situation was he talking about?

No idea, on that particular interaction, but I know that the tournament rules were much harsher in the past. For example, if you submitted an illegal decklist (e.g. only registered 59 cards in your main deck) then at one time that would have had you disqualified.

Hello! My opponent controls a Void Maw (which exiles creature when they should die, and then "processes" them). If I kill another creature with spells like Touch of the Void or Yamabushi's Flame? Which card exiles the poor little creature (and can the Void Maw "process" it)? Thanks a lot!

The creature’s controller gets to choose which of the effects will exile the creature. Void Maw will only be able to “process” the creature if its owner chooses for Void Maw’s replacement to be applied instead of the other replacement effect that would exile the card.
