Okay, just read about Atlas and how it'd be healing for Buggy....
Bruh I can't stop hearing this dialog for them.
It probably makes more sense of Atlas to be basically like a angry kitten, lashing out for his own safety... but I definitely can see Atlas having a moment of pause and see someone with the same nose as him.
Like the second he saw Buggy, all the air in lungs disappeared. In a good way.
Buggy, knowing what a kid version of himself would probably be think of. Knelt down and let the kid reach out for his nose.
"Looks like I'm not alone, huh?" Buggy said gently but got choked up in the end.
Atlas eyes started to well up, but he moved his head away. He didn't want to look weak because, for once, he didn't feel like the odd ball out.
He wasn't alone.
"You're probably hungry. Come on, " Buggy gently picked up his hand as Birdie and Angle flanked their sides, walking alongside. "It's almost lunchtime. "
(I undress it doesn't fit the mold, but dammit I love this)
Awwwwww my heeeaaaarrrrttttttt I love this
Honestly I can kinda see smth like this happening maybe. Like. Atlas on a mini war path or trying to sneak along to get to his target(s). Birdie and Angel may well find him and make a ruckus bc 1) HEY IT'S BOMB OMG HIIII and 2) WHY ARE YOU HERE BUT ALSO HIIIII
Maybe the noisr draws The Parents, and when Buggy bursts in like "what's going on-!" he just... freezes.
And Atlas just goes flipping rigid, wide eyed. There's a tense silence for just a moment, then Buggy kneels down and the rest is history.
((And maybe Birdie and Angel are So Excited to tell their friend/tiny-fellow all about the family. And maybe Atlas, putting on a brave face, looks across the room at Buggy smiling and flushed with Mihawk as they cook. Maybe Birdie asks what he thinks.
And maybe Stlas shakily signs looks like me... but pretty.
And Angel looks at the littlest Seraphim for a moment, then turns and goes "mama, papa, daddy? Can we keep him??"
And they all smile. "If he wants to, he's welcome to stay," Buggy offers with a smile that looks... odd. It's warm and soft and fragile and somehow really hard and cold at the same time, turning to let his hands sign along with his words. "He deserves the opportunity and chance to make his own choices, okay? We don't force people to do things here."
"Yes, mama!"
Atlas for his part is uncertain, is emotional for reasons he doesn't even understand, and- he wants.
He wants so badly.
And Buggy, understanding and grown and empathetic, is damn sure going to deliver
