The Middle East is generally doin pretty good. There's various political movements that want to join the African Union or the Federation, and others who want to remain independent

Turkey and Greece are currently in a state of war with the Netherlands, as the latter is trying to forcibly annex them, and the former wish to stay autonomous. They have formed a temporary alliance to help with this war, but it's widely recognized that, barring foreign intervention, they will inevitably lose. Folks in the Republic shake their heads at the headlines buried on page three of the papers about this situation

Eastern Europe and Russia: I forgot about them. Um. Fuck. Second Tsardom of Russia? I'm not sure.
